I would like to convert the gaze timestamp back to the point in time when the sample was captured. I have read http://developer.tobii.com/community/forums/topic/timestamp-clarification/ and understand that the timestamp can only really be used to determine the time span between points, or at a push to detect the change in latency from the first point received (associate the first timestamp with a point in time when it was received and then detect if subsequent timestamps drift from our view of how time has passed, i.e. they are getting ahead or behind real time).

This is useful, but I am trying to detect if there is unacceptable latency in the received gaze points, which is impossible if I don’t know the latency of the first received point. Any ideas?

    Thanks.
