Can the API detect eyes close? What about eyebrows movements?
the current API doesn’t detect blinks or eyebrows movements but there are workarounds, at least for the blinks. See this forum thread.
is the eye ball position means the center pixel of the iris, or other pixel locations, thanks a lot.
the “eye position” is defined as the center of the pupil, in space, in millimeters.
so at the MinimalGazeDataStream the coordinates that the code display are millimeters?
No: the gaze point is in pixels. But the eye positions are in millimeters. You can get the gaze point in millimeters, too, by scaling it with the screen bounds and display size. Check out the FollowGazePoint.cs script in the Unity SDK for an example.
Is pupil size available in SDK?
Pupil size is not available in the Gaze SDK or the EyeX SDK. However, if you use the Tobii Analytics SDK together with a Tobii eye tracker for analysis (not EyeX Controller or Tobii REX), you can get access to the pupil size.
Is it possible to detect head angle in the gaze sdk?
You can compute the roll and yaw angles from the eye positions, but not the pitch.

Also is it possible to detect the distance that the user is from the device?
Yes, the “eye positions” data stream also includes the distance. Not from the device but from the screen.
This is also true even if we are doing manual calibration?
If you’re doing manual calibration then you must be using the Gaze SDK, and in that case the distance is relative to the eye tracker just as you wrote.
(I was assuming that your question was related to the EyeX SDK since that’s what this page is mainly about. The Gaze SDK provides a simpler API with only the gaze points and eye positions.)

Hi, I have a colleague that uses matlab and would like to use the matlab friendly Tobii Analytics SDK ….does this work with the Tobbbi EyeX controller?
The Tobii EyeX Controller works with the Tobii EyeX SDK and Tobii Gaze SDK. It does not work with the Tobii Analytics SDK.
hi ,, in old version of Tobii Eye Engine it was an EyexButton to activat interaction , but in the last version i didn’t found it ,, is it normal
The EyeX Button was removed in EyeX 2.0. The removal is mentioned in the release post: http://developer.tobii.com/tobii-eyex-2-0/
