Guide to which Tobii SDK to use

Tobii has a collection of different software development kits (SDKs) that provide you as a developer with a rich array of tools to easily and effectively create amazing applications that use eye tracking.

Begin with defining what you want to do

We broadly distinguish between “Gaze Interaction Use” and “Analytical Use” of eye tracking data, in the following manner:

Tobii Pro SDK

Use this SDK to develop applications for Analytical Use on either Windows, MacOS or Linux.

This SDK provides advanced data streams relevant for research and analytical use, such as raw gaze data, pupil data and high precision timestamps, as well as eye images and external hardware synchronization capabilities for selected eye trackers.

Applications written using the Pro SDK works with all Tobii Pro Eye Trackers by default, as well as consumer devices with Tobii eye tracking in combination with a license key.
