Hi!
After trying several usb 3.0 pci cards i bought the HP QT587AA card.
And – it works!
I also tried the eyex on a HP computer at work – i got it running there too.
Seems that HP hardware is a good base for the eyex….11/06/2014 at 12:43 #1145AndreasParticipantI hope you have luck.
I bought the sandberg pci card but still “Cannot connect to eye tracker…”.
Seems to upload the Firmware when starting/plugging the eyex in, but i think it only tries to do so. When starting the settings application it is still waiting for the eye tracker.
The “TheEyeTribe” tracker works without any problem – but hoped to be able to try the eyex too.27/05/2014 at 08:43 #1037AndreasParticipantHi Mattias!
I have ordered the Sandberg pci card – i hope you will replace my eyex with no additional cost if it does not work with the sandberg pci card.
Btw. If you want ordinary pc users to work with the eyex you should improve the eyex to work with all usb 3.0 cards – I think only developers and freaks are willed and able to try different cards. Thanks!
Andreas26/05/2014 at 20:30 #1028AndreasParticipantHi!
Just installed another usb 3.0 pci Card (Inateck KTU3FR-4P, full powered, compliant to usb standards) – but no positive result.
First the old message “you have a usb 2.0…”, than no more messages but “waiting for the eye tracker…”.
The eyex is a wired device that only works with a few usb 3.0 cards… seems not to be usable with standard devices.
Is it a software/Firmware Problem?
Hope so because i really want to play around with the eyex and not send it back.13/05/2014 at 20:19 #868AndreasParticipantToday i received an active usb3.0 hub. On my win8 computer the lights flash shortly when connecting, no more reaction. On my win7 computer i get the message that i connected on a usb2.0.
Seems that the eyex is not a working product….13/05/2014 at 11:25 #855AndreasParticipant@Robert
Hi!
It would help if you could give us some hints which usb3.0 hubs work.
Thanks
Andreas10/05/2014 at 19:17 #809AndreasParticipantAfter some attempts on my first Computer using win7 (no Connection to device) i tried on my 2nd Computer – using win7 the eyex was not recognized, using win8.1 on same Computer i was able to start the calibration, but when following the dot the Connection lost.
Seems that there has to be a super power USB3.0 supply – 2 Computers and None suits the eyex requierements???Hope it’s not a Hardware Problem….
10/05/2014 at 19:14 #808AndreasParticipantNow i tried another Computer.
Using Win7 i had no luck – the device was not detected.
Using Win8.1 on same Computer: the eyex was detected and installed, calibration started but when trying to follow the dot the device connection was lost.Seems that the eyex is not a ready product.
09/05/2014 at 19:47 #799AndreasParticipantI have the same Problem – “Searching for eye tracker” but not found.
There is a red light blinking on the right side of the tracker, but the Settings tell me “Could not connect to eye tracker”.
The tracker appears as usb device, the Firmware updater says that there is nothing to update.
I tried to update the usb3.0 Driver, but it has also the newest Version.
I am using a PCI connected USB3.0 Card.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Andreas27/02/2014 at 12:14 #523AndreasParticipantHi!
I vote for WPF – I really like XAML and WPF also for desktop applications.
But i hope to use to eyex independent from WPF, WinForms,… also for 3D applications.11/02/2014 at 13:44 #431AndreasParticipantHi!
Thanks for your answers!
Can’t wait to get the eyex to be able to try the sdk!
