We also have a higher level C API on top of Stream Engine that we use for games. It’s included in Tobii Unity SDK.
The name of the dll is Tobii.GameIntegration.dll. It also has a C# interop with the function signatures.
But we don’t recommend using it as public API and won’t provide any support.
So I would suggest to stick to Stream Engine API or use Tobii Core SDK and C#.
Which SDK will work for Tobii 4C if anyone have any information. I recently got new tobii 4C eyetracking but not able to find how to get raw data using it; as i am using it for research purposes. Thanks in advance.
Hi @vishav, the freely available Tobii Core SDK may be used to develop applications that use eye tracking for Gaze Interaction Use.
However, if you are intending on using the Tobii 4C Eye Tracking for eye tracking research (ie long term storage of gaze data) then you are required to purchase a special licence in conjunction with the Tobii Pro SDK to do so.
As replied by you that i required to purchase a special licence in conjunction with the Tobii Pro SDK to do research. I request pricing options @ SDKlicensing@tobii.com yesterday but not get any reply till now. Please if you can figure out this. Thanks
Are you planning to make your eye Tracker enabled application/game available to many people? We hope so, and for this reason, we have done our best to make it easy for you to distribute your applications and games built using the Tobii SDKs.
When you download a Tobii SDK you agree to an SDK License Agreement that (with a few exceptions) allows you distribute the Tobii client library files necessary to add eye tracking to your application. One limitation is that you may only use the Tobii Core SDK to develop interactive applications. If you want to develop software for analytical purposes, post processing or aggregation of eye tracking data across multiple users, please Contact Tobii Pro. Also, you may not use the SDK to develop software that is used in so-called high-risk use applications.
We at Tobii also want to do our best to help you reach as many people as possible with your application, and help you to commercialize it if that is your goal. Contact us if you want to know more about what the opportunities will be for you during the current year, and how we expect the market for eye tracking in consumer electronics to evolve.
