Hello,
There is a scientific article published last year entitled “Evaluation of the Tobii EyeX Eye tracking controller and Matlab toolkit for research” (DOI: 10.3758/s13428-016-0762-9), which details technical specifications of Tobii Eye X for research.
My question is: Is there any incompatibility if Tobii Eye X device is used for biomedical research BUT NOT USING Tobii EyeX SDK?Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,

Apologies for the delay in response. Please bear in mind that using the EyeX for research that requires the storage of the gaze data is in fact strictly prohibited by the Tobii EyeX SDK licence agreement. The same is true for the Gaze SDK (which is now discontinued).
We do have another low level SDK available for you to try out @
https://www.nuget.org/packages/Tobii.StreamEngine.Native/
https://www.nuget.org/packages/Tobii.StreamEngine/This is a low level API so please only use it if you know why you are doing it. Very little support is going to be provided.
However, that being said it may be sufficient for your needs depending on what you intend to do. If you could kindly provide some further details, I will see what further help I can provide.
