Eyetracker 5: Why it requires windows 10 ?

Hi Tobii team,

Hi Tobii team,

I’ve bought an Eyetracker 5 and my surprise is that you have changed completely the software from Tobii Core to Tobii Experience only available on Windows 10 (but also not available on Windows 10S). Is there any path or trick to run a Tobii Eyetracker 5 on Windows 7 ? I think it should, there’re are a lot of users still usign windows 7 furthermore windows 10 sometimes mess it up their software on their updates.

Hi @jespa007, thanks for your query. I am afraid that that are numerous software components that are provided in Windows 10 that have not been ported to Windows 7 by Microsoft that our eye tracker relies upon. Accordingly, we cannot provide any official means of operating the tracker under Windows 7. Apologies for any inconvenience.

It would be great if there’s some solution on this issue in the future. Meanwhile we’ll have to use Windows 10.
