Hello,
I am currently trying to work with an eye-tracking Unity project using an HTC Vive Pro Eye and the Tobii Unity SDK. However, whenever I try to run calibration using the code in the provided examples, I get “failed to start calibration thread”. Does anyone have any idea on what could be causing this? I believe I am using the latest version of the SDK and SteamVR. I am fairly new to VR development so I could just be missing something simple.
Thank you so much for your help!
Hi @hgheiberger, could you kindly confirm exactly which SDK you are using (provide a URL link please) as it sounds like you are using the Tobii Unity for Desktop API which does not support the HTC Vive. This model needs to be operated with the Tobii XR SDK which has Unity bindings.
You can download it @ https://vr.tobii.com/sdk/develop/unity/getting-started/
