I followed the tutorial as described in http://developer.tobiipro.com/index.html but no data is shown only the device address, could anyone use sdk?Hi @mmarlon96 thanks for your query. Please be aware that the Tobii Pro SDK is designed to operate only with the Tobii Pro range of eye trackers https://www.tobiipro.com/product-listing/
In order to use the Pro SDK in conjunction with the Tobii Tech consumer level of eye trackers (4C, EyeX) this requires the purchase of a special analytical licence to do so. If you are interested in this, please PM me and I will put you in touch with the correct salesperson.
However, if you do indeed already own a Tobii Pro device and are experiencing difficulties in getting started with the Pro SDK, then please contact Tobii Pro Support department directly @ http://www.tobiipro.com/contact/contact-support/ and the team there should be able to help you.
Hi @Grant i had the same issue when i was trying the example code from sdkpro for my master thesis. My supervisor said me she ordered the new license recently but maybe take sometime. I thought to get the basic gaze data should work, but no data shown as output. Could you pls give some advice? Thx
Hi @agnes-hsq, what kind of eye tracker do you have? If it’s a 4C, you will need a special unlock file to use this with the Pro SDK which should be supplied with the new licence. Thereafter, the device should work as expected.
It should not take long, please liaise with your supervisor to reach out to your sales contact. Hopefully, a friendly reminder should be enough to get you started promptly 🙂
thx again. But I was wondering that To get the basic x,y position of the gaze date also requires the license? Many thanks
