Hi
I just wanted st mention that I was very supposed to find out how limited the Tobii eye tracker software was.
I thought it would have been an obvious thing to include hand recognition to allow hand gestures, including simple scrolling for PDF and web pages as well as point and select.I would love to know what else people think.
Regards
Chris

Whilst we may look toward implementing hand gestures in the future, for the time being, eye tracking is our key areas of focus whilst also allowing third parties to develop innovative solutions via our publically available Software Development Kits.

I was wondering if there have been any further development on implementing hand-swipe gestures in to the Tibii eye tracking system???21/06/2019 at 20:44 #11528Grant [Tobii]KeymasterHi @chrisp, thanks for your interest! I am afraid at this stage, hand swipe gestures would require an additional IR camera (in conjunction to the eye tracking cameras) to be operational and so for now this would necessarily depend on a third party to develop hand swipe features on combination with extra hardware.
For your interest, such a setup was created using a Tobii eye tracker as part of a Graduate these of which you can read further details @ http://www.diva-portal.org/smash/record.jsf?pid=diva2%3A1088409&dswid=-4211
Perhaps if you contact the author they may be amenable to sharing their code with you? Do let us know how you get on.
