ParticipantHello,
I would like to use a Tobii Eye Tracking USB device within a web application. I’ve seen that a SDK is available for C/C++ but I haven’t seen anything for javascript.
Is a Chrome or Firefox extension available ?
If not, how could I integrate the device ?
Thanks for helping me.13/03/2018 at 10:08 #7993Grant [Tobii]
KeymasterHi @vibra, I am afraid that we do not currently have an official Javascript Bindings for use with the Tobii 4C or EyeX Eye Tracker.
A number of other users have experimented with creating their own bindings online such as @ https://github.com/coylz/TobiiStreamEngineForJava
Please bear in mind these and not official bindings so we cannot support their application, but certainly, we would
welcome your feedback in using these 3rd party tools.13/03/2018 at 10:34 #7995Brahamcha
ParticipantThanks for the answer.
But I have seen that in the past a Chrome extension was provided and it has been discontinued.
Can you tell me for what reason ? Is there a chance that it will be provided in the future ?13/03/2018 at 22:48 #7998Grant [Tobii]
KeymasterHi @vibra, yes indeed the Chrome extension was based on an old SDK which we no longer provide or support I am afraid, so little possibility this will be resurrected in the near future.
