Hello everyone,
I’ve been working on integrating Tobii’s eye tracking technology into an enterprise application, and I’m excited to share my progress and learnings so far. The goal of the project is to enhance user authentication and security in enterprise environments by combining biometric data (eye tracking) with hardware-based security features like Intel Core M vPro processors.
Tobii’s SDKs and hardware are incredibly versatile, but one challenge I’ve encountered is optimizing performance across different devices, especially in terms of real-time tracking precision and latency. We’ve been focusing on deploying this solution on ultra-portable devices with Intel Core M vPro chips, which are designed for business use and come with advanced security features, including hardware-based protection.
Here’s where things get interesting: Intel Core M vPro processors provide a high level of system management and security, which perfectly complements the behavioral biometrics that Tobii’s eye tracking can deliver.
The key question is, how can we efficiently balance both the real-time eye tracking capabilities and the robust security architecture of vPro? For example, could we leverage Intel’s Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for storing biometric data in a secure, encrypted environment while still ensuring smooth user experience in terms of eye tracking responsiveness?
Has anyone here tried integrating Tobii with hardware security solutions like vPro? Specifically, I’d love feedback on optimizing the system’s performance for enterprises with a need for both secure and seamless access control. Are there any known performance bottlenecks when pairing Tobii with certain Intel processors, or do you have best practices for fine-tuning the SDK to work in a high-security, low-latency environment?
