ParticipantThe game, theHunter, recently allowed EyeX to be implemented.
In the options section of the game, there is an option that allows EyeX enabled. However, the ON/OFF switch is not included, instead the words Not Available are shown. I have put in a request to support and I suppose they are looking into it. This was implemented in the last week of Aug, 2015, so I wouldn’t think there is too much, if any at all, discussion or help in the forums here, especially since a search didn’t bring up any posts. If anyone has info on this in the coming days, please post.
Thanks

MemberHi John!
Thanks for bringing this up here as well.
We are aware of that and there are some posts in TheHunter forum too: http://forum.thehunter.com/viewtopic.php?f=102&t=67778&p=720767&hilit=eyex#p720767We’re investigating, as we haven’t been able to reproduce it yet.
Could you let me know what version of EyeX you are using? You will be able to see it in the About tab, in Tobii EyeX settings.

MemberYes I do!
My hands are tied though right now, as we’re waiting for reply from EW.
Also we cannot reproduce this issue and we haven’t heard about further people complaining..In your last email you mentioned that you got some error message from the eye tracker, not connected.
Do you always get this error?
Did you check you USB 3.0 controller driver? What producer, driver-version and driver-date, are they?BR,

ParticipantKonstantin,
theHunter Primal WORKS just fine. Just not theHunter.
I don’t really know where to look for this info. Let me know how/where to get this info, unless this is what you want. Also about the error message. The device would not turn on. I don’t know what happened, but after some amount of time, 10’s of minutes, it came back on. But, then it said it wasn’t calibrated. It took forever, 1 hour, to get that to working. Only thing I could do is keep trying and trying. Finally, it let me.

ParticipantKonstantin,
This is the options screen from theHunter:Primal. As you can see, it has the On/Off button for enabling EyeX. So, the question is, what is different for EyeX between theHunter and tH:Primal?????

ParticipantKonstantin,
Regarding the above post, this means, the problem most likely isn’t on my end as I use the same settings for Primal that I do for tH.
There was a post on another thread (Title: HELP!!) that suggested to turn down resolution. Hog wash. I use 1920×1080 (60hz) on both Primal and tH and Primal has no issues on working. USB 3.0 has no issues either for the same reason. That guy did something different to get his to work. So, his post (for me any ways) is no help at all.

ParticipantThank you Wess. It’s has nothing to do with resolution. That guy that posted that was full of it. I’m certain that you have the same setting for both Primal and tH, right? It’s not our systems. Don’t really need to look at them. It’s EW or Tobii, not us.
It would be nice to get an every now and then update as to what is being done. Last one was that Konstantin was waiting on EW to reply to him. That was a couple of days ago. Not sure if EW is really interested in fixing this issue all to soon. The more that report this, the better our chances.
What I’d like to know is if anyone who has EyeX can use it in tH.
