Hi, I have configured the Tobii 4C eye tracker with a display connected, but would like to have it run WITHOUT the display – my software will track gaze areas, but on something like a paper poster rather than an active screen.
When I disconnect the display, the Tobii tracker seems to be totally disabled (exclamation point in the system tray), is there any way around the need for a connected display?
Hi @cleojones, I am afraid to confirm that the Tobii 4C Eye Tracker will not run without an associated screen connected as this range of eye trackers is targeted exclusively for gaming and interaction application.
If your require this kind of functionality, whether it be for academic research or marketing analysis, I would have to refer
you to the Tobii Pro range of Eye Trackers which do indeed support eye tracking within non standard environment.
