I just installed 2.13.3
Windows Hello works again, nice!
But I still can’t turn off the three IR lights with the On/Off toggle button in your applet. In the past, this switched off all IR lights, but since some time, I have to unplug the USB cable each time to achieve this.14/05/2018 at 12:03 #8339Grant [Tobii]KeymasterHi @sonic, thanks for your report. I have also updated to this version but seems OK for me. To be clear, I assume you refer to the Tobii System tray icon as the applet? Certainly, turning ‘OFF’ eye tracking should disable all lights. I wonder if this happens again on another USB Port? Have you restarted the computer since the update? Also, I assume you are working with the 4C? Some additional system specs would also be good to have including any USB3 Hubs you might be using.. Thanks.

Indeed.

It even happens on totally different computers for other people:
Have you restarted the computer since the update?
Yes.
Also, I assume you are working with the 4C?
No, as I wrote in the thread subject: the original Tobii EyeX.
Some additional system specs would also be good to have including any USB3 Hubs you might be using.
None.

15/05/2018 at 11:33 #8342Grant [Tobii]KeymasterHi @sonic, okay thanks for the additional information. I shall log the incident with our developers and enquire if there is a workaround in the meantime whilst we try to duplicate the problem. Thanks for your patience.
15/05/2018 at 17:27 #8343Grant [Tobii]KeymasterHi @sonic, we have tried testing the EyeX against the latest Tobii Core Software and we have not reproduced the issue I am afraid.
However, a possible workaround is to disable “HID”, or Windows built in Eye Control features (on-screen keyboard, text to speech… which uses gaze input)
This is done in Device Manager. Disable “Tobii Device” and “Tobii Eye Tracking HID”
Not particularly elegant I know, but perhaps of use to you.
15/05/2018 at 17:36 #8344Sven KilligParticipantDisabling “Tobii Eye Tracking HID” didn’t do much, but “Tobii Device” helped, and the former disappeared.
