[USB] Mini-B on one side, normal USB3.0 on another side

Does the Tobii EyeX really uses/need the bandwidth of USB 3.0?

The connector that plugs into Tobii EyeX is only Mini-B jack, while another side of the cable is normal USB 3.0 (blue color)
As far as I know, Mini-B connector DOES NOT support USB 3.0. (please correct if I am wrong)
Then, what is the point of requiring USB 3.0 when the connector and cable itself does not support the USB 3.0?

Yes, the Tobii EyeX is a 100 % USB 3.0 device and not backward compatible as e.g. some hard drives etc.

When looking at the cable, you will see it’s way thicker than a USB 2.0 cable and it’s called a 10 P USB 3.0 cable.

Hi, I did a google and amazon search for 10 P USB 3.0 cable and could not find anything. Can someone post a link to where we can purchase such a cable (preferably a short cable, like 3 inches).

As we have seen quality and performance of cables, varying quite a lot, we unfortunately cannot recommend to buy random cables.
Currently we also don’t have any tested or supported cable available on any web-shops.

If you need a new cable, please contact our support and they will be happy to help you, however, only the standard length is available.
