I have a Vive devkit (not the Pro). My eye tracker is not recognized at all by the tobii software and says “No Eye Tracker Connected”. I have it plugged into a USB 3 slot and have the recommended tobii eye tracking core software and sdk installed as specified here:
https://vr.tobii.com/sdk/develop/unity/getting-started/tobii-htc-dev-kit/However, it does not recognize that it is connected. I have restarted the PC after installation. In the device manager I noticed that the tobii eye tracker is being recognized as a camera and is labeled “USB Camera-OVL05B”. I’ve tried finding a solution to resolving this but am at a lost at this point. Any ideas?

As it sounds like you could potentially have a hardware issue or more serious fault, we would first recommend you raise a ticket directly with our dedicated support team @ https://tech.tobii.com/contact/ who may be able extract logs from the device and advise accordingly.
In the meantime, it may be worth checking to see if the issues persists across other systems if possible, try other USB ports and be sure to update your BIOS and USB chipset drivers in case the fault may lie there. We hope you managed to resolve the problem swiftly. Best Wishes.
