Tagged: Linux system feature driver
I am interested in a driver for the sentry on Linux that would allow focusing on a particular window. Being a dev ops engineer/software developer, keeping my hands on the keyboard and having the focus follow my vision would make my work flow better, enough that I would be willing to shell out for a sentry. Do you see Linux drivers on the roadmap, and is sloppy focus window select something that could be programmed in or setup from the configuration tools? If not would a library be available to program against?
Hi Ryan (@srart)
For the time being, I am afraid we do not intent to introduce support for Linux in the EyeX Tracker.
In terms of window focus, that is not something that is ready ‘out of the box’ but no doubt may be programmed
using the EyeX SDK (within Microsoft Windows)
If you really require an eye tracker for use in a Linux environment, then I would encourage you to look at the
Tobii Pro range of eye tracker such as X3-120 which do indeed include support for this operating system.
