Hi, I am trying to use Tobii eye tracker 5 and psychtoolbox to design an experiment. I tried using PsychToolBoxExample but I only got this :
gaze_data =StreamError – type:
Error: [1×1 StreamErrorType]
Source: [1×1 StreamErrorSource]
Message: ‘Gaze Data Subscription: Internal Error↵Eye Tracker Address: tobii-prp://IS5FF-100202401201↵Eye Tracker Serial Number: IS5FF-100202401201↵Error: TOBII_PRO_STATUS_SAVED_LICENSE_FAILED_TO_APPLY↵Message: Failed to subscribe to gaze data.’
SystemTimeStamp: 452807885702. Can someone please help with this? What other information/code about my project should I add so that someone can help?
Thank you

You will need to purchase a Tobii Pro Device to operate this software with more info @ https://www.tobii.com/products#eye-trackers
Apologies for any inconvenience. Best Wishes.

We do have eyelink for more precisely eye tracking.
Is there any other way to present just the bubble on top of my screen 🤦♀️03/01/2023 at 15:55 #22789Grant [Tobii]KeymasterHi! The bubble effect you refer to is ‘gaze overlay’ which is included with the Tobii Experience app and should be directly accessible.

I can’t find gaze overlay in my Tobii Experience app. Do you mind telling me how to access this function?
The bubble will disappear whenever I open other files or app on my computer.08/09/2023 at 10:06 #23586Nav DParticipantDid you find a solution to this. I too cannot see gaze overlay on any other windows other than Tobii experience app
08/09/2023 at 11:15 #23587Grant [Tobii]KeymasterHi Both, the Gaze Overlay bubble will only work within the Tobii Experience Application.
08/09/2023 at 11:25 #23592Nav DParticipantWhy thought. The value of it is to highlight where the user is looking at a screen during work or playing games. What benefit is there to seeing the gaze bubble just inside the tobii experience app? Its only used for calibration and settings isn’t it?
09/09/2023 at 15:11 #23596Johanna HuiParticipantYes, I have the same problem. I can’t see the gaze bubble outside the Tobii experience app ,even when it’s minimize 🙁
17/11/2023 at 14:52 #23753Tomaso ZanardiParticipantI have the same issue, I would like to access the eye tracking data in some way, or at least visualize the bubble to pilot my behavioural experiment.
Any developement on this issue @Nav D or @Johanna Hui?21/11/2023 at 13:45 #23767Grant [Tobii]KeymasterI’m afraid that the gaze bubble will only work within the Tobii Experience App.
