I am trying to setup Tobii EyeX on Windows Server 2012. Core (Tobii_Eye_Tracking_Core_v220.127.116.1188_x86.exe) got installed successfully. When I run .NET sample code, it gives error “This sample requires EyeX engine, but it isn’t running. Please make sure that EyeX engine is started”. Windows service Tobii.Service.exe is running. I tried executing EyeX engine using C:\Program Files (x86)\Tobii\Tobii EyeX\Tobii.EyeX.Engine.exe, but it does nothing. Based on one article, I also copied Tobii registry keys from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE. Nothing helped.
Thank you for your support.17/01/2017 at 22:12 #6244Grant [Tobii]Keymaster
HI @krroshan, As you probably noticed Windows Server 2012 is not a platform that is supported or tested with the Tobii EyeX or C4. That being said, did you try installing the Tobii Software in compatibility mode for Windows 7?
Beyond that, I’m not sure what further steps you could take as we do not have this operating systems to test against.18/01/2017 at 05:40 #6246RoshanParticipant
