Hey guys, I have a feature in mind for Tobii Eye Tracker 5. The feature idea is that only where you look, the game is rendered in high resolution, like 4K, so you can play with boosted FPS.

It would be cool if you could select the radius to determine how big or small the sharply rendered bubble is. Also, there should be a resolution selection option, allowing you to adjust the resolution at which the non-looked part is rendered, and vice versa

I really like this idea for the Tobii Eye Tracker. Rendering games in high-res where you look could really amp up the FPS. The customizable sharpness bubble sounds cool too.

But yeah, to make this work, it’s probably going to need some teamwork with game devs and GPU folks like NVIDIA. They’d have to tweak the game engines and maybe the GPU software to handle the changing resolutions based on where you’re looking. Could even possibly be used in conjunction with DLSS-like features. If they can pull it off, it’d be a game-changer.
