Tagged: mounting
Hi there-
I am assisting with a human-robot-interaction study using the Tobii Eye Tracker 4C and this computer:
Dell XPF 15 Specs
We need to be able to use the camera at the bottom left-hand side of the Dell computer…so mounting the eye tracker would obstruct the camera’s view. Would the eye tracker still work if I made a holder that was raised slightly above the lower part of the screen? At. about .5 inches above the bottom edge of the screen?
Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks!
Hi @cyoustra, I am afraid there is no way with the 4C to customise the vertical height from the screen mounting. That being said, the tracker *may* still work if you are able to produce a mount that is slightly raised above the webcam lens, however calibration accuracy cannot be guaranteed in such a setup.
Our recommendation would therefore be to use a secondary webcam on top of the screen to ensure optimal accuracy. Best Wishes.
