Hello everyone!
I am currently working on an experimental game that can be played with eye and head tracking. We are using a Tobii Eye Tracker 4C, Unity 2021.3.23f1 and the Tobii Unity SDK 5.0.0.3.
The gaze tracking works like a charm. However, we don’t get valid Head Pose Data. Logging the position and rotation only returns empty Quaternions and Vector3s, and the isValid and isRecent checks fail.
We also uninstalled the Tobii Core Software and switched to Tobii Experience, which sadly made no difference. Everything besides the head tracking is working fine.
We’ve adjusted our plan so that we might not need the head tracking, but it would be amazing if we could get it to work.
Thank you in advance for the help!
Regards,

Let us know how it goes. Best Wishes.

Head tracking functionality for Tobii Eye Tracker 4C is currently only available in the Tobii Experience Beta. Make sure you downloaded and installed the beta version specifically, not the standard Tobii Experience. You can find the Tobii Experience Beta download on the Tobii Gaming website under “Download or Setup Eye Tracking Software and Drivers” [Tobii Eye Tracker Software Download].
