Hello,
I am trying to set up my development environment to work with EyeX. Under my current Win10 version I managed to have EyeX working with EyeX Engine v. 1.9.0.6164 which is with Core v. 2.0.9. For some strange reason the device was not working with the latest Core version.
But I have eyeX SDK v1.7.489 and when I try to run the “MinimapFixationDataStream” sample project I get SERVER_VERSION_TOO_HIGH.
Should I downgrade my SDK to work with the 2.0.9 Core version? If yes which SDK would work with this and where can I find it? Unfortunately upgrading to the latest Core version as I said before is not an option as the device then is not working at all.
Thanks in advance01/01/2017 at 15:38 #6149Grant [Tobii]KeymasterHi Dimitris (@dkoukoul),
It may be the case that a lower SDK version might fix the problem, but I think it would be preferable to try and resolve the issue with using the latest Core version.. perhaps you could give some further explanation as to what happens… does the EyeX no longer appear in device manager?
It might be worth trying a fresh install by uninstalling the old core version, removing Tobii settings (%localappdata%\Tobii)
and installing the latest core version.Might also be worth testing if this issue occurs on another system as well. Thanks for your feedback.

I did tried several times doing a clean install, uninstalling, removing the files and the registry entries but still with the latest core engine but although the EyeX appears on the device manager the software does not do the initialization. Once it starts it displays an error and I have no options of troubleshooting that.
I do not have access to another windows system unfortunately to test this. Can we please try to find the compatible SDK version for this (2.0.9) engine version to work because I’ve already lost too much time with trying to setup the EyeX.04/01/2017 at 21:15 #6169Grant [Tobii]KeymasterHi Dimitris, thanks for the information. As a general rule, we do not supply older version of the SDK but given your circumstances, It would be best to contact the support time directly @ https://help.tobii.com/hc/en-us/requests/new who may be able to provide the version you need through private channels.
In any event, I will try to reproduce the original issue and see what can be done.

thanks for the reply. I did submit a request for the compatible SDK to the support. I will try again later a clean install to see if I can gather more information on why it is not working and get back to you.

24/01/2017 at 09:10 #6266DimitrisParticipantHi Grant, yes the issue has been resolved. I had mixed up my code and I was actually using an older EyeX SDK version although I thought I was using the latest.
