Tobii Eye Tracker 5 API on Linux

Hi,

I want to write software that uses the Tobii Eye Tracker API (preferably the Python or C++ bindings) to get the coordinates of the screen that the user is looking at. I don’t want to use the software that comes with the ET5 for gaming and such.

Is the API usable on Linux systems?

Hi Simon, I’m afraid the Eye Tracker 5 does not support Linux and there are no plans to introduce this in the future.

You can however request access to the Stream Engine API to get gaze data via Windows @ https://developer.tobii.com/software-downloads/
