ParticipantUsing Tobii.Eye.Experience_0.8.3.249-alpha.zip and Tobii REX for Developers, the callibration simply crashes and restarts. Is the Tobii Eye Experience and EyeX system supposed to work with the REX? I have the 1.2.2 USB-HID drivers installed.
From the Gaze Tools, I also get a crash attempting to switch firmware versions to the TCP/IP version.
C:\Tobii\TobiiGazeSdk-Tools-4.0.0.552-Win32>fwupgrade32.exe –auto rexdevlaptop_firmware_1.0.5.25169.20130705.1446.root.tobiipkg

ParticipantEyex with REX – I wasn’t able to solve the issue with crashing calibration.
I was able to get the firmware updated by adding the –no-version-check option. Having the program crash instead of display an error is a suggestion I would make to prevent more questions like mine.

ParticipantHi Ian,
the REX is certainly supposed to work with the EyeX Engine, so I’m surprised to hear about the crashing calibration. I have a hunch of what could be wrong; let’s continue this discussion off the forum.28/03/2014 at 09:38 #636Henke
ParticipantHi, I’m not sure its connected.
I get a crash when running the calibration in the sample app.
Eyetracker exception 20000505
What is that?Same thing on 3 different computers, running win 7 & 8
Using Tobii IS Drivers_1.3.5 – for USB TCP/IP (and same thing with the older driver). My sample app using the tobiis minified tracker lib works (but it has no calibration functionality)

ParticipantHi Henke,
the error code 20000505 means “not authorized”, so I don’t think it’s the same issue. It’s what I would expect to see when trying to use the Tobii Analytics SDK with a REX eye tracker… could that be an explanation? (REX works only with the Gaze SDK and the EyeX SDK). - AuthorPosts
