fwupgrade not working from android device

I was wondering if it’s possible to upgrade the Tobii Rex firmware from an android device? I moved the fwupgrade onto the device along with the .tobiipkg file. However, running the upgrade command yields as error:

“Tobii Firmware Upgrade Tool
205 No eye tracker could be found
No tracker connected”

Upgrade command: fwupgrade –auto rexdevlaptop_firmware_1.0.5.25169.20130705.1446.root.tobiipkg

I cannot run lsusb on my android (command isn’t available), but when I run on my Mac, here is what I see for the Rex:

Do I need a Windows machine for the upgrade?

Hi Andrew,

Yes, you need a Windows machine to perform an REX firmware upgrade.
