Is it possible for the Tobii 4c to work on a linux system with an ARM processor? I know that there is now a stream engine but from the looks of it that is still for an x86 architecture. I am trying to install Tobii software on an ARM stype architecture. Is this even possible? If it is could someone help me as to how to do it? If it is not possible will it be in the future? Thanks in advance.

Hi @jtbartz918, thanks for your patience. I am afraid that for the time being, Tobii does not officially support running ARM Linux but that following sufficient user request this may be looked at again in the future.

Our apologies for the disappointing news. Hopefully you can find the means to continue to use eye tracking with your project. By all means, please send me your project details and I will pass along to the development team should any workarounds or solutions be possible.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately our only issue is connecting the Tobii to an ARM processor. Looks like we will have to switch to a different eye tracking company to continue with our project. Thanks for the help.

Hi @jtbartz918, sorry to hear that. In any case, please do send me by PM the full project details and perhaps our development team may offer some long term support options.

Is there any new work being done the past few months to support arm processors with Tobii devices?

Hi @jtbartz918, thanks for your interest however for the time being we do not have any public ARM support in conjunction with Core SDK or Stream Engine with the Tobii 4C Tracker.

However, it may be worth reaching out to Tobii Pro Support whose Pro SDK could support eye tracking under ARM within Linux.
You can send them a speculative email @ https://connect.tobiipro.com/s/?language=en_US

Do bear in mind that to use the Tobii Pro SDK in conjunction with the 4C requires the purchase of a special analytical licence to do so, but may be worth investigating at any rate.
