    Hi,

How can I make apps in below 2 conditions?
    1. 46 inch TV is placed at more than 2m distance
    2. The eye tracker is in front of a user.

The first problem is that the calibration of the eye tracker is not working.
The eye gaze point is not detected. Sometimes left eye or right eye is detected.
If you have solutions to solve the problem for the long distance screen, please tell me what to do.

Thank you so much in advance.

    Moon.

    Hi Moon,
the Tobii eye trackers are designed for desktop use, and they won’t work at distances of two meters: it’s a limitation of the technology. It might still be possible to get tracking at that distance, though, if you mount the tracker in the working range of the tracker instead of on the screen. But since that is a non-standard mounting it will take some work to get it all set up properly, and you’ll have to use the Gaze SDK rather than EyeX.

The other question, about the calibration, is more puzzling.
-Are you using the EyeX controller or the REX?
-Are your eyes about 60-80 cm from the tracker?
-If you are using the EyeX controller, are the lights on steadily when you try to calibrate?

    Hi,

Thank you for your information. I understand I have to use the Gaze SDK.

I am using the REX. And The tracker is about 60cm from the user eyes.

I usually turn on the lights when I try to calibrate.

I want to know what the some works are for the non-standard mounting.

    Thank you.

    Moon.

    Hi Anders.

I didn’t get the answer for the non-standard mounting.

    Please tell me more details.

    Thank you.
