    Hi all
The brief, WIn 10 x64 Pro, Eyex 1.8.0.5941 interaction 2.02.2209, Infinate screen 1.0.1.290 Vjoy 0.2.1.6

Eyex works fine for win hello, demos in general.
Failure of games tested so far no eye tracking, Arma3, ILS-2
    Working DCS and Elite dangerous.

On test of vjoy and looking at config not input feed is coming from eyex, Windows joy,cpl shows a virtual joystick with no tracking info, its blank as if broken,I am guessing the other games require joystick output direct to the programs to function hence no eye tracking.
I would like to experiment with using Opentrack and Free pie ect but until we have a feed from eyex this is not going to be viable.

We are going to do a review on the product, I can see its looking very promising, when it works such as in Elite D it is excellent.

As a separate note Chris Roberts from Star Citizen mentioned the interesting Tobii eyex technology last week, I am surprised no one has put up a guide yet, is this due to the vjoy issue? I wil do so when its all resolved.

Ideas to fix please, Next release date for an update?

I’m also experiencing the same issue of getting no input feed with a similar but not identical set up. I’m trying to use the product with Arma 3. Im posting to inquire for a status update on this issue.

Seeing that a feature video using eyex with Arma 3 is what got me to purchase the product in the first place, it would be nice to know whats going on with the issue. I’d be much more interested in making a feature video of my own to promote this product rather than returning it as a non functional piece of hardware.

    Thanks for your assistance,
    Juuso

    I have the same issue.

I had/have VJoy installed prior to the installation of the Infinite Screen Extension (ISE) software. My version of VJoy is 2.1.6 (x64/x86).

It seems that the VJoy dll bundles with the ISE is version 2.0.5 – quite old. Could this be the source of the issue?

I’ve tried replacing the Tobii installed VJoyInterface.dll with the x64 version from my install and received the “failed to connect” error. When replacing the Tobii installed VJoyInterface.dll with the x86 system version (2.1.6), I don’t receive the “failed to connect” issue, but I still have no working sticks in VJoy Monitor.

I see a stick bound to device 1 that is x/y, but no activity shows on this device.

    GazeTrace works fine.

Other devices configured on VJoy work fine (My SpaceOrb360, on Device 10)
All Vjoy Devices display an error in vJoyFeeder – vJoy Driver (version 0000) does not match vJoyInterface DLL (version 0216) – Though my other vJoy devices function in-game fine.

I’m running Win7 with the newest versions of EyeX and ISE.

Just to add to my post (edit seems to have timed out), Anytime I start the Infinite Screen software, it appears to create the VJoy #1 device and simultaneously remove any other VJoy devices.

This is in addition to the issues mentioned in my previous post.

Update to my previous posts (sorry to spam)

The issue – Vjoy Devices display an error in vJoyFeeder – vJoy Driver (version 0000) does not match vJoyInterface DLL (version 0216) – is simply due to me running the Monitor without elevated privileges (i.e as Administrator)

The issues remain however – EyeX doesn’t work in E:D, and it doesn’t show axial activity in vJoyMonitor or joy.cpl.

ISE blows out any existing vJoy configs, creating just one on device 1, but this doesn’t function.

One more update (sincere apologies, but the edit timeout is rather short).

Above post should have stated ” is simply due to me running the Feeder without elevated privileges (i.e as Administrator)”

Using FreePIE, and vJoy, I can get joy.cpl to show activity on the vJoy device. Still no activity when using ISE.

I had the same problem with ARMA3. I found a solution wich worked on Jester814’s Youtube channel. The problem is linked toa missing parameter in the ARMA3’s profile.

Here it is copy/pasted from above source:

-Go to your user.arma3profile file. Open it with a notepad application

    -Find it in C:users/username/documents/arma 3 profile/username.arma3profile

    -search for “freetrack”

-Make sure Freetrack=1 (If Freetrack=0 then this is 99% why your EyeX isn’t working)

-Save, Close, and start ArmA, hopefully this fixed your issue! Enjoy!

This should work across all Bohemia titles.

    Thanks a lot Jester814.

Infinite Screen Extension only feeds vJoy when it detects that a game that we use vJoy to “integrate” with is running (basically all games except the ones based on the ArmA-engine which uses the FreeTrack protocol).

If you want to check vJoy activity then you need to run one of the vJoy games (e.g. E:D), Alt-Tab to windows and then run “Monitor vJoy” (which should have been installed with vJoy unless you unchecked it during installation).
